With so much thought and effort locally, nationally, and now globally directed toward the solution of protecting our coasts, we offer a portable barrier system as the solution. As oil invades our shores this system can be implemented as the solution to contain contaminates. Primarily, this barrier system is meant to be utilized on a permanent basis to prevent coastal erosion.
Our product is a portable impervious barrier system that requires no outside source of energy; but rather operates solely on the laws of gravity.
The chamber at the top is air-filled for floatation, which produces a three foot elevation above water level (easily adapted to higher elevations). It includes a weight chamber at the bottom that seats itself on the gulf floor. The impervious middle layer stretches between the two impervious chambers and prevents flow.
This system is a simple but effective tool in containing damage from an oil spill. The three foot air-filled chamber has the ability to compensate for wave action and to create a sizeable deterrent.
